Why you should follow this program

We've all heard it said before: change is hard. It's easy to believe that, but we don't have to accept it as a fact of life.

We've all made changes in our lives before. Some of those changes were hard, but did you ever notice how other times they were really easy? Or even fun? Why do we insist on seeing the obstacles rather than the goal? Once we understand how our minds function, we can unlock shortcuts to switching behaviors. With deceptively simple methods, we can yield truly extraordinary results. In this program, we'll look at different approaches to change and consider the ways they might help you anticipate the most common hurdles and obstacles in the process, so that you can experience it with more grace and even fun.

Tailored Support for Individual Change Readiness

The program equips you to assess people's unique stage of change, drawing inspiration from the pioneering work of James Prochaska and Carlo DiClemente. This personalized approach allows you to adapt your support strategies to meet individuals where they are in their change journey.

Empowerment through Personal Readiness Building

By incorporating insights from Kubler-Ross's Change Curve, the program guides you in navigating through personal roadblocks during change. This empowers both yourself and others to proactively address challenges, ensuring a smoother and more successful transition.

Emotional Intelligence for Involuntary Change

Anticipate and navigate the emotional landscape associated with involuntary change using principles from Positive Psychology. Understanding and managing emotions becomes a strength, allowing you to support others effectively and foster a more resilient response to unexpected changes.

Strategic Anticipation of Change-Related Challenges

The program provides you with the tools to anticipate and manage emotions tied to involuntary change, fostering better coping mechanisms. This strategic foresight not only enhances your adaptability but also empowers you to guide others through the emotional nuances of unexpected shifts.

Master the skill of managing change (advanced)

Build the skill, by mastering the sub-skills first.
After the kick-start webinar, you will practice building tiny habits (so small you will have no reason not to do it) in the workflow or in your personal life. You will build this skill habit-by-habit, conversation-by-conversation, focusing on 3 sub-skills.

Sub-skill 1

Week 1 - 2

Assess and adapt to people's change readiness

Assess the "stage of change" where people are and adapt your support and approach accordingly.

Meet your trainer

At the kickstart of your 3-6 week skills development program, you will follow a webinar delivered by Sarah Cherif, founder and CEO of SkillsGym. Here are a few things you might like to know about her:

Sarah's background

Sarah began her career at the University of Ghent with degrees in child education and philosophy, quickly realizing her passion for teaching. Faced with the challenge of helping seasoned leaders develop soft skills without any prior corporate experience, she turned this disadvantage into a strength by creating evidence-based, sure-proof plans to build strong soft skills through habit formation and impactful conversations.

Personal life

Sarah's roots are Belgian and Tunesian, and she partially grew up in Washington DC. She currently lives in Belgium with her partner Nils (who is co-founder of SkillsGym Health), and has a dog named Lizzy.

20+ years of impact

Together with her SkillsGym team, Sarah has helped numerous world-class organizations like Samsung, Deloitte, Ikea... and thousands of managers and their teams improve their soft skills. SkillsGym now offers programs to accelerate the mastery of 50 essential leadership, team and well-being skills.

Fun fact

Sarah tests all the habits and conversations in the SkillsGym offer herself; that's more than 200+ habits and 200+ conversations. Most of them have become second nature. Yet, as you'll learn in the webinars, she isn't shy to talk about the failures and frustrations along the way.
