Buddy Coaching Instructions

Plan three buddy coaching sessions with your buddy during the Pro Journey.

You are responsible for scheduling these sessions and making sure they are in both your agendas.

Below, you’ll find the instructions for each buddy coaching session, including the focus and suggested structure.

Buddy coaching is a moment to reflect, practice, and support each other’s growth, so make sure you protect this time and show up prepared.

After the Discovery Event (January)

Session 1

Focus: define your growth ambition and first concrete step.

Conversation prompts:

  • Where do I hope to stand in six months?

  • What kind of growth do I want to see in myself — personally and professionally?

  • What is one personal learning goal that will get me closer to that dream?

  • What one small habit can I start practicing now to move toward it? Design your habit loop together.

Wrap-up:

  • Decide how you’ll stay in touch informally (Teams chat, coffee calls, short messages).

  • Agree on a bi-weekly quick check-in follow-up rhythm — simple, informal, consistent.

Outcome: shared learning goals + first habit + follow-up plan.

After the Skills Trainings (End of April)

Session 2

From Learning to Stretching

Focus: reflect on strengths, discoveries, and next growth edges.

Conversation prompts:

  • What have I discovered about my strengths?

  • What am I proud of since the start of the journey?

  • What are my blind spots, pitfalls, or challenges?

  • How do I want to keep building this skill in the coming months — especially outside my comfort zone?

Outcome: awareness of strengths + stretch goal + next development step.

After the Retrospective (May)

Session 3

From Reflection to Insight

Focus: connect personal growth to deeper patterns and future potential.

Conversation prompts:

  • What did I discover about myself during the Retrospective?

  • What was my domino — the deeper lever or pattern that drives my growth?

  • On which level of the Logical Levels (Bateson & Dilts) do I need to make change:
Environment, Behavior, Competency, Belief, Value, Identity, Purpose?

  • What was the core message or theme that emerged for me?

  • How can I use this insight to continue my own growth — or coach others in the future?

Outcome: meta-reflection on growth + clear insight into what truly drives change.
