Why you should follow this program

Working from home can be hard.
You might think, "I've been working from home for years now, so I'm good at it."

But, like with everything, experience alone does not equal excellence. Excellence comes through intention, reflection, experimentation, and constantly tweaking what we're doing so, we keep improving.

And that's where this program comes in! Working from home definitely doesn't have to come in second place to work at the office. We can thrive in our jobs working from home—but only if we intentionally navigate the challenges and create the conditions for success. In this program, we will consider all the basics; work setups, self-care, teamwork, staying connected and workplace beliefs.

Empowerment Through Team Norms Establishment

In today's dynamic work environment, establishing effective team norms is essential for success. Through this program, you'll not only learn how to establish these norms but also gain the confidence to voice your preferences and contribute to shaping a positive work culture. Empowering yourself and your team with clear, mutually agreed-upon norms fosters collaboration, reduces misunderstandings, and ultimately enhances productivity. By mastering this skill, you'll not only improve your own work-from-home experience but also contribute to a more cohesive and efficient team dynamic.

Enhanced Communication Skills with Regular Check-ins

Effective communication lies at the heart of successful remote work. By delving into the art of regular check-ins in this program, you'll go beyond surface-level conversations and truly connect with your colleagues on a deeper level. Understanding the "whole" person you're interacting with, including their thoughts, emotions, skills, and plans, facilitates stronger relationships and ensures everyone feels valued and supported. These enhanced communication skills not only improve teamwork but also lead to increased trust, motivation, and overall job satisfaction, ultimately driving better results for both individuals and the organization as a whole.

Embracing Flexibility by Challenging Old Workplace Beliefs

The traditional notions of work have undergone a significant evolution, especially with the rise of remote and hybrid work models. This program empowers you to challenge and reconsider outdated workplace beliefs that may hinder your performance in a remote or hybrid setting. By embracing flexibility and exploring alternative approaches to how, when, and where work gets done, you'll unlock new levels of efficiency and creativity. Adapting to this modern work landscape not only future-proofs your career but also positions you as a forward-thinking professional who can thrive in any work environment.

Optimizing Performance in Hybrid Teams

As the workplace continues to evolve, hybrid teams—comprising both remote and in-office members—are becoming increasingly common. Navigating this new terrain requires a unique set of skills and strategies, which this program equips you with. By mastering the art of remote collaboration and understanding the dynamics of hybrid teams, you'll position yourself as a valuable asset capable of seamlessly integrating into diverse work environments. This not only expands your career opportunities but also enables you to contribute meaningfully to your team's success, regardless of geographical barriers.

Master the skill of working from home (advanced)

Build the skill, by mastering the sub-skills first.
After the kick-start webinar, you will practice building tiny habits (so small you will have no reason not to do it) in the workflow or in your personal life. You will build this skill habit-by-habit, conversation-by-conversation, focusing on 3 sub-skills.

Sub-skill 1

Week 1 - 2

Meet your trainer

At the kickstart of your 3-6 week skills development program, you will follow a webinar delivered by Sarah Cherif, founder and CEO of SkillsGym. Here are a few things you might like to know about her:

Sarah's background

Sarah began her career at the University of Ghent with degrees in child education and philosophy, quickly realizing her passion for teaching. Faced with the challenge of helping seasoned leaders develop soft skills without any prior corporate experience, she turned this disadvantage into a strength by creating evidence-based, sure-proof plans to build strong soft skills through habit formation and impactful conversations.

Personal life

Sarah's roots are Belgian and Tunesian, and she partially grew up in Washington DC. She currently lives in Belgium with her partner Nils (who is co-founder of SkillsGym Health), and has a dog named Lizzy.

20+ years of impact

Together with her SkillsGym team, Sarah has helped numerous world-class organizations like Samsung, Deloitte, Ikea... and thousands of managers and their teams improve their soft skills. SkillsGym now offers programs to accelerate the mastery of 50 essential leadership, team and well-being skills.

Fun fact

Sarah tests all the habits and conversations in the SkillsGym offer herself; that's more than 200+ habits and 200+ conversations. Most of them have become second nature. Yet, as you'll learn in the webinars, she isn't shy to talk about the failures and frustrations along the way.
