Why you should follow this program

Have you ever had a conversation with someone, and it felt like you were just talking to them? Or maybe you've been on the other side of the conversation—where you're just listening to someone else speak, and it feels like they don't even know you're there.

The problem could be more than just an awkward interaction—it could be because the two of you have different thinking styles. And if you don't understand how these differences impact your communication, it will be hard for you to connect.

Adapt your approach to daily activities

In today's diverse workplace, effective communication is key. By understanding and adapting to various communication styles, you gain the ability to navigate conversations, meetings, and presentations more effectively. This program equips you with the knowledge to design work activities that cater to different preferences, fostering a more collaborative and inclusive environment.

Mastering the Art of Expressing Needs in a Diverse Communication Landscape

Master expressing your needs effectively for enhanced collaboration. Drawing from Non-violent Communication principles by Marshall Rosenberg, you'll learn to articulate needs clearly, without causing conflict. By making actionable requests considerate of others' perspectives, you'll enhance your communication effectiveness in various contexts.

Understand the dynamics between different styles

Self-awareness is crucial for effective communication. By delving into the dynamics between your own communication styles, strengths, weaknesses, and 'allergies,' as well as those of others, you develop a deeper understanding of interpersonal dynamics. This knowledge, rooted in Daniel Ofman's Core Quadrants model, enables you to navigate challenges, leverage core qualities, and build stronger, more resilient professional relationships.

Enhance collaboration and productivity

The ability to navigate diverse communication styles not only improves individual interactions but also enhances overall team dynamics. By participating in this program, you not only foster personal growth but contribute to a workplace culture that values diversity, inclusion, and effective communication. Gain the skills to build stronger professional relationships, leading to increased collaboration and heightened productivity.

Master the skill of diverse communication styles (advanced)

Build the skill, by mastering the sub-skills first.
After the kick-start webinar, you will practice building tiny habits (so small you will have no reason not to do it) in the workflow or in your personal life. You will build this skill habit-by-habit, conversation-by-conversation, focusing on 3 sub-skills.

Sub-skill 1

Week 1 - 2

Adapt your approach to daily activities

We prioritize different things when having conversations, attending meetings, or listening to presentations depending on our preferred communication styles. Use your knowledge of the four styles to design more all-around work activities.

Meet your trainer

At the kickstart of your 3-6 week skills development program, you will follow a webinar delivered by Sarah Cherif, founder and CEO of SkillsGym. Here are a few things you might like to know about her:

Sarah's background

Sarah began her career at the University of Ghent with degrees in child education and philosophy, quickly realizing her passion for teaching. Faced with the challenge of helping seasoned leaders develop soft skills without any prior corporate experience, she turned this disadvantage into a strength by creating evidence-based, sure-proof plans to build strong soft skills through habit formation and impactful conversations.

Personal life

Sarah's roots are Belgian and Tunesian, and she partially grew up in Washington DC. She currently lives in Belgium with her partner Nils (who is co-founder of SkillsGym Health), and has a dog named Lizzy.

20+ years of impact

Together with her SkillsGym team, Sarah has helped numerous world-class organizations like Samsung, Deloitte, Ikea... and thousands of managers and their teams improve their soft skills. SkillsGym now offers programs to accelerate the mastery of 50 essential leadership, team and well-being skills.

Fun fact

Sarah tests all the habits and conversations in the SkillsGym offer herself; that's more than 200+ habits and 200+ conversations. Most of them have become second nature. Yet, as you'll learn in the webinars, she isn't shy to talk about the failures and frustrations along the way.
