Why you should follow this program

Are you curious about Design Thinking?

Design Thinking is a human-centered problem-solving approach that helps teams tackle complex or recurring ill-defined or unknown difficulties by focusing on and understanding human needs.
Maybe you've dabbled in Design Thinking before. Still, apart from organizing the occasional not-too-productive brainstorming session, you still need to figure out how to use the methodology as a set of daily habits. In either case, this session is for you! It will empower you to apply the Design Thinking model to solve complex problems that occur around us - with our customers, our products, or our daily lives - as a team.

Become a Master Observer

In this program, you'll delve into the art of observation, a cornerstone of innovation according to IDEO's product design philosophy. By honing the skill of keen observation through techniques like the PALM technique, you'll elevate your ability to identify latent needs, sparking creativity and innovation in your design approach.

Escape Tunnel Vision

Acknowledge the human inclination for tunnel vision in decision-making and acquire two essential strategies to broaden your perspective. Drawing inspiration from Steven Johnson and the principles of super-forecasting, this program empowers you to break free from narrow thinking, fostering a more comprehensive and effective decision-making process.

Asking good questions

Learn the power of asking through the CPRS technique, a fundamental aspect of the four key skills for innovation. By asking with the intent to understand, you create a collaborative environment where diverse perspectives and ideas flourish. This program teaches you how to leverage good questions to stimulate innovation, promoting a culture of openness and exploration within your team. Elevate your collaborative creativity with this invaluable skill.

Innovate with Purpose

Beyond just ideation, our program guides you in channeling your creativity towards practical, innovative solutions. By filtering through the plethora of ideas generated in brainstorming sessions, you'll identify and refine the most impactful solutions. This hands-on approach ensures that your creative efforts are purposeful, driving innovation with measurable results.

Meet your trainer

At the kickstart of your 3-6 week skills development program, you will follow a webinar delivered by Sarah Cherif, founder and CEO of SkillsGym. Here are a few things you might like to know about her:

Sarah's background

Sarah began her career at the University of Ghent with degrees in child education and philosophy, quickly realizing her passion for teaching. Faced with the challenge of helping seasoned leaders develop soft skills without any prior corporate experience, she turned this disadvantage into a strength by creating evidence-based, sure-proof plans to build strong soft skills through habit formation and impactful conversations.

Personal life

Sarah's roots are Belgian and Tunesian, and she partially grew up in Washington DC. She currently lives in Belgium with her partner Nils (who is co-founder of SkillsGym Health), and has a dog named Lizzy.

20+ years of impact

Together with her SkillsGym team, Sarah has helped numerous world-class organizations like Samsung, Deloitte, Ikea... and thousands of managers and their teams improve their soft skills. SkillsGym now offers programs to accelerate the mastery of 50 essential leadership, team and well-being skills.

Fun fact

Sarah tests all the habits and conversations in the SkillsGym offer herself; that's more than 200+ habits and 200+ conversations. Most of them have become second nature. Yet, as you'll learn in the webinars, she isn't shy to talk about the failures and frustrations along the way.
