Why you should follow this program

Decisions are hard.

We all know it, and we all struggle with it. But that's not just because we don't have the right tools to make them—it's because of our mindset.

If you think about it, decision-making isn't just about having a process or a set of techniques for making decisions, it's also about how you handle ambiguity. Do you see luck as something to be embraced or feared? And how do you think about risk? Are you comfortable taking risks when they're warranted? Or do you avoid them at all costs?

Decision making is one of the hardest things we can do as humans. The good news is that there are things we can do to make it easier! With this program, we'll help you build a better mindset for making decisions so that next time the stakes are high, or things aren't clear-cut, or there's a lot of uncertainty in the air—you won't be paralyzed by indecision anymore!

Transform Your Approach to Decision-Making Amid Ambiguity

The focus is on empowering you to change your mindset when faced with ambiguity. Reflect on your current decision-making style and, if necessary, evolve it for more effective and confident choices. This subskill delves into the nuances of decision-making mindset, ensuring you're equipped to navigate ambiguity with adaptability and a strategic approach.

Rethink Your Relationship with Bad Luck

Reconsider your mindset towards bad luck. Through reflection and practical insights, learn to view bad luck not as a hindrance but as an opportunity for growth. This subskill fosters a mindset shift that transforms challenges into stepping stones, empowering you to make decisions with resilience and a positive outlook.

Embrace a New Perspective on Good Luck

Our program guides you to reassess your mindset towards good luck. Explore how a positive mindset towards success can influence decision-making. By understanding the role of luck in your journey, you'll develop a mindset that capitalizes on opportunities with gratitude and strategic thinking.

Foster a Growth-Oriented Decision-Making Mindset

Beyond specific scenarios, we aim to cultivate a growth-oriented decision-making mindset. Embrace a mindset that sees every decision, challenge, and stroke of luck as an opportunity for learning and improvement. Equip yourself with the mental tools to approach decision-making with a growth mindset, enhancing your ability to adapt, learn, and thrive.

Master the skill of decision making mindset

Build the skill, by mastering the sub-skills first.
After the kick-start webinar, you will practice building tiny habits (so small you will have no reason not to do it) in the workflow or in your personal life. You will build this skill habit-by-habit, conversation-by-conversation, focusing on 3 sub-skills.

Meet your trainer

At the kickstart of your 3-6 week skills development program, you will follow a webinar delivered by Sarah Cherif, founder and CEO of SkillsGym. Here are a few things you might like to know about her:

Sarah's background

Sarah began her career at the University of Ghent with degrees in child education and philosophy, quickly realizing her passion for teaching. Faced with the challenge of helping seasoned leaders develop soft skills without any prior corporate experience, she turned this disadvantage into a strength by creating evidence-based, sure-proof plans to build strong soft skills through habit formation and impactful conversations.

Personal life

Sarah's roots are Belgian and Tunesian, and she partially grew up in Washington DC. She currently lives in Belgium with her partner Nils (who is co-founder of SkillsGym Health), and has a dog named Lizzy.

20+ years of impact

Together with her SkillsGym team, Sarah has helped numerous world-class organizations like Samsung, Deloitte, Ikea... and thousands of managers and their teams improve their soft skills. SkillsGym now offers programs to accelerate the mastery of 50 essential leadership, team and well-being skills.

Fun fact

Sarah tests all the habits and conversations in the SkillsGym offer herself; that's more than 200+ habits and 200+ conversations. Most of them have become second nature. Yet, as you'll learn in the webinars, she isn't shy to talk about the failures and frustrations along the way.
